Depends on which year as to exactly how it works but if it's a curvy then


You see that big fat spring bottom left *and* top right of the carbs (as they are sat there), those are the throttle return springs and you'd need to remove and *modify* both.

Yeah, it's a curvy. Woo - don't fancy messing with those buggers. Thanks for the heads up.

what would happen if you disconected one of the cables to the throttle?


im sure i did this to my curvy cos it was sticking........... although i may have made the whole thing up

LOL, at a guess it'd run like a bag o' ****e. one cylinder would be getting fed at tick over speed one would be getting the right amount of fuel.

Er no, one cable is the 'pull' ie open the throttle cable, the other is the 'push' ie close the throttle cable. Removing one wouldn't make any difference.

Ah, I was thinking if you unhooked the throttle cable from one of the carbs. doh

No. If anything it may spring back faster as you'd have half the friction.

The cables only attach to one carb, the other is actuated by a linkage.
