The point I'm trying to make is that really, nationality means bugger all, the UK is a mongrel nation it's more about being a useful citizen than being "british"

So one member of there family being German makes them all German -interesting point of view.

To some people there nationality might not be important to them, but to me it is-I'm British and proud of it-but I suppose it depends on where you come from and what you deem to be important to your own life.

IME that's the mindset of every person I have met who supports the BNP, the sort of person who goes on about giving Britain back to the British and chuck the foreigners out, yet goes to the local kebab shop for a doner.....

As for the Royal family yes they are of foriegn origin.Depending on how far back you look there is a lot of German as said,but from long before Albert.The House of Hanover held power back in Geogian times,and wasnt William(of Orange)Dutch?Going back further they were all Normans (thats French to you and me)after 1066.Indeed the language spoken by the ruling class in England was French from 1066 until the 15th century.
Very hard to track down a racially pure Englishman these days so the BNP might struggle to get their electoral majority unless they broaden their appeal a bit.Maybe thats why they are now going to let black people join????

...and the Queen and Philip are actually cousins! Allbeit they are 3rd cousins, but family is family to me! Queen Victoria is the great great grandmother of both of them!

not got anything against people living here but i agree with Rudd on this one weather he said it or not, living here is fine, living here and making it like the old country is not, like Shia law or watever it is called, why is that in british courts???

Makes complete sense IMO, Australia have a good attitude to immigration- if you can't help the economy you don't get in. Wish our politicians were as sensible...
