see . we had a combi in.. which was noisy etc.. then was left with a majorhole in the fireplace and floor to make good.. so I did all that and plastered and boarded up and papered etc and now it looks ace.. , now I starting on the bedroom cos we have spare cupboard now where the immersion heater was.. so he moaning about that cos its adjacent to his bedroom..

he is never out see with being retired. .. I try n wait til he goes asda or for a swim to do the noisy jobs but it messes me system up..

see..

from this.. to this .. takes a lot of work and a bit of noise.. but worth it..

looks nice.. worth the effort- except when Mr Uki is sat on the couch spoiling the clean lines and minimalistic effect..

Bah, one of my neighbours had trouble sleeping so would do the hoovering (including moving all the furniture) at 2 in the morning. What sealed the deal was her dog not liking the hoover

Liking to flooring and fireplace tho - that's on the to-do list when we can next get a cushy re-mortgage deal!

Have you thought about going round and explaining to him what you are doing?

I find a bit of talking face to face works wonders

And besides, the banging may be him doing a bit of DIY himself
