Only another 2 weeks and I can get my Tree. Always get it from B&Q and they get there first delivery next week and the second the week after. My excuse is that I would rather have it at home sat in water than in B&Q warehouse. lol

Come on you boring lot, get over yourself. I will never stop being excited for Christmas, I love the build up more than the day.

Christmas IS over-commercialised. Our Asda had their Christmas tree up at the same time as their Halloween stuff......third week of October!

For us, Christmas Day itself isn't important. The whole of December is Dukedolph time, and just doing the Toy Runs and hopefully brightening the day of kiddies who see the bike is what makes it for us. We don't do big expensive presents either. We've pretty much decided that this year we're going to go halves on getting the Duke's wheels powder-coated, and that will be our present to each other.

Yep...

I dont mind the day itself, but honestly do we need a month and a half of build up to it ?

Our local Morrisons had tins of christmas sweets on sale in september, by the time 25th December actually arrives I'm so sick of the whole thing I cnat wait for it to be over.

Things have improved over the last few years. They used to start putting up trees and decorations in early September.

I blame the commercialisation of Halloween

Fizz, I agree. I have become more and more annoyed with christmas each year, due t the commercialisation. I won't be asking for presents this year, but I will let my parents wrap up something I will only end up buying myself anyway, so at least they can see me all excited

which reminds me, there is a video on my facebook of when I fitted my fuel exhaust (an xmas present to myself) and fired up for the first time on christmas day in...i cant remember, 2007? I put it on all by myself and hearing the sound was a christmas present nit just for me, but also for my dad

mum wasnt impressed.

For me, I just want to go home for christmas, play xbox ith my brother, see some freinds, see my fmaily, watch old bike races with my dad, tinker with one / some of his bikes and talk to my mum and everything. I'll buy people some gifts but I dont want any myself

no doubt i'll have to give a list...i suppose i could do with socks and underwear again thanks mum
