Well you learn something new every day. I don't recall having one pretty much any bike I'v had since the 90's. I guess the MOT garages I went to see were more practical and thought that a new invention called "The tail light" was better and than a reflector as well on the back as this would have as much point as holding up a piece of paper to stop a bullet.

Strangely though I get the idea of having them on the side of a bike but we don't have that law unless I have missed something?

Edit - Just looked at some pics of the curvy I brought a couple weeks back and although the rear fender has been chopped it still has a reflector - I'll get my coat .....

Just tell your MOT man if he wants the sale that bad you will give him the quid for the reflector, just don't stick the bleeder on yer bike.

You have to train these MOT types.

A lot of older designs had the reflector integral in the tail light lens/cover, easy not to notice it's there.

Whats the deal with it having to be near the rear lights, etc ??

ie. Would the reflector on a top box count ???

..... re. rear light ....... doesn't work when the bike is parked does it !!!

hmm will see if i can fit one on my tiny plate (my mot man dosent mind about exhausts and plates, his is about 3cmhighx5cm lol) but not sure about reflector but may get 2 of the small ones one for mt and one for sv :/

Don't know about MOT but wuld be pretty usless in use relying on every driver having full beam on to reach that high.
