Irrespective of how, the only issue was is was the method of killing cruel, Run over or whacked is no different to being with 3/4 oz of lead shot. So long as the death is quick and relatively painless how should the method of despatch matter?

I dislike pigeons intensely after one made me throw up by dropping what appeared to be a bucket load of faecal matter on a childhood friend. However, if this young man actually deliberately used his skate board to strike the bird, then he deserves what he got. The article is ambiguous as to how the bird died.

Except i wouldn't really want a bunch of kids running around bludgeoning pigeons to death wherever pigeons happen to congregate. Shooting pigeons in a field - fine. Battering them with skateboards, for eg, in the middle of Trafalgar Square - big no no imho.

Not been to trafalgar square for a while, I think the pigeon problem there has been reduced by banning people feeding them. But in many cities you end up having to kick the sky rats out of your way otherwise you would end up standing on them.

Being a bit of a porker, I guess the RSPCA would then say I kicked or squashed poor speckled Jim and have me up before the beak before I could say pigeon pie.

Because if a pigeon gets in the way of a skateboard and gets run over it's not a malicious act, as opposed to someone getting some sick kind of fun from bludgeoning a defenceless bird to death.

You could claim you had to take evasive action to avoid a skateboard being swung round rather violently

And you can legally shoot as many of them as you want. (so long as you're on private land etc. Shame. Would be quite a laugh to let drive at them in the town center)

im sorry.. its a pigeon... I hit them in the car most weeks, and rabbits I deliberately drove my car at them as I was on the road...ffs.. I give up... AGAIN
