Mate did this whilst at the NW200 earlier this year. It was raining so hard, that he forgot to connect the box up properly before jumping on the bike and as we roared away from our Bungalow, it just crashed down and smashed the top to bits. A few clothes (spare gloves etc) fell out and the little Jack Russell which was in our house came along, pinched a glove and ran off!

Good job we had Duck tape to hand to tape it all up.

I've done the same with a pillion seat... (had to buy another as couldn't find the orignal.)
