The guy i work with uses this one http://www.switchgasandelectric.com/...D=260487862031

Apperently it was set up by the government & you can either just use them when you want to switch or you can pay a one off small fee for lifetime membership & they contact you to advise of best deals as & when.

Doesn't give you an online quote, someone has to call you, which I don't particularly want. But if they call you to advise you of a cheaper deal later on, then perhaps its worth it

Money saving expert website is the dogs dangles for this type of stuff. Saved me £1000's over the years. In October I looked and the recommendation was to use uswitch. Saved me about £200 a year by moving from Scottish Power to EDF, and uswitch gave me a case of 12 bottles of wine for using their switching service. They just arrived last week - all set for Crimbo!

Also used MSE website to save £80 on car insurance renewal last week.
