Had it a couple of years come the end of Jan. Sadly not done as many miles as I would have liked since I bought it though, due to trying to renovate a house.

One thing this has taught me though is that the battery struggles to crank the big triple if left standing any period of time. Unless you're using it daily, I'd suggest an optimate if you have a suitable power source nearby, as you can plug it into the accessory socket to keep it topped up.

Cheers mate, I've all ready got an optimiser for over winter. Also on the shopping list are heated grips and a scottoiler

Get yourself a set of heated gloves instead, yet another use for the accessory socket.

I think one of the issues is the shockingly small battery for the capacity. 90CCA and 10aH, thats the same as the SV650! (This is standard for reference).

If you have to, or fancy the extra push replace your battery at any point then go for this 14aH and 220CCA, its a beast Only thing is its 30mm taller, not sure if that will be a problem on the 1050's but it fits in my dads 955 version fine. Oh and its cheaper than your standard one from the same company by £10! ha ha
