Honey ---- no, I don't love you but being a long term tonsilitis freak I always keep a jar of honey in the house.

If you are gargling soluble asprin/paracetomol the way to make them last (disgusting) is to spit the liquid back into the glass. That way rather than getting a brief respite every 4 hours you can get a good hour out of the (disgusting) method.

Alternatively, Dettol and a wire brush to ream the cr@p out of your throat - not one I've tried...

I`ve been gargling every 2 hours with the Soluble Paracetomol . Just been on the phone for 23 minutes to get through to emergency line and they are getting a nurse to ring me back , feels like a bit of waste of NHS time but woman on phone said it was important to get it treated with antibiotics .

Ya big wuss Badger! My 7yr suffers with tonsilitis a fair bit but she doesn't whinge that much

I used to get it a lot as a kid but then had my tonsils taken out when I was about 8, although on a recent trip to the docs it was noticed that one of my tonsils was growing back!

Yeah the HUGE difference here DD is , and I could place a huge bet here , she hasn`t got 3 crates of various Ales to get through , spirits , wine and more pringles , crisps and nuts and Christmassy nibbles to get through than I have
