First year in the twins lad. Done all the Mondello rounds last year on an R6 in the SS600 Clubmans. Really looking forward to the twins this year

Last year was my first year racing, in fact it was my first time ever on a race track, really enjoyed the twins and can't wait till April to get back at it, should be a big field this year as everyone seems to be buying an SV!

Should be interesting next year. Im on a seriously tight budget but im gonna have fun and give it my best shot

I hope to be racing this bike (CBR600FW) in the New Era Steel-framed 600 class towards the back end of 2010. All that's holding me up now is money because my earning capability was reduced about 3 months ago, so I couldn't save the required dosh to make it a definite. I'll see how it goes through the season and if I can get a reasonable amount together I'll get out on track.

off to pick my bike up today 06 sv. its road bike so going be flat out getting it ready for first meeting of the year, anyone has any race parts laying about i may well be interested, cheers

new to all this racing game. bought curvy sv about 2 months ago to race at north glos. so really looking forward to geting out and having a go. took it to pembrey for a track day in oct when i bought it and loved it. any one with any tips on how to keep it shiney side up would be helpfull. cheers

Relax, take your time to learn the track and get your braking markers and gear's right I suppose, eat properly so you don't get fatigued and drink enough water to remain hydrated

I don;t know much about race-craft, but I suppose there are plenty of things from road riding that can be applied at the track

All goes out the window though when its the last corner of the last lap of a championship deciding race. Win or hospital!!

Thanks for your words of wisdom. I dont know that i will be fighting for the championship at the last corner but hell we can all dream!!!. It will more likely be last at the last corner. All I want to do is not make a complete spanner of my self. I have been riding for over 35 years and at the grand old age of 43 I am having a midlife crisis and decided I would have a go, so here goes
