putting a 180 rear on would raise the rear massivley and cause all sorts of handling issues. simple dont do it. 160 tyres are cheaper anyway ! All good race rubber is available in 160 too so there really is no point in looking at alternatives. No one has ever set a lap record on a 180 and i've never even seen one fitted to a mintwin in the 3 years i've been around the series. 120/70 and 160/60 is the known and quick way to go.

Yup thats with wheels that arent minitwin legal.
![]() TBH we fit alot of road bikes with 120/70/17 fronts due to their required tyre not being made in the 120/60 profile and in reality most have reported no difference that they noticed!. |

Yup I tried both (same tyre) and difference was marginal though it did seem to make the steering slightly better. (kawa shock too short)

thanks for the replys i am a road rider, ive got no chicken strips, and when i am banked over into a corner the rear end seems to be twitching alot.
