Ooh! I got lots more that would really wind you up, but not now - I fear for your blood pressure already.
Aw shucks, i wish i did more than just get anry about it. But what more can we as a populace do but be angry?

Answers on a postcard please.

And post away with your other stuff my friend. I've got a gret game on PS3 i can use to get rid of some of mu frustratins and hence lower the blood pressure.

*wonders if he can justify the NHS paying for his PS3 games as an "alternative therapy" to stress and blood pressure relief*

I wish more people would get wound up about this tho. A bunch of idiot muslims wamt to march thru a towna nd the thread goes on and on. But when its your own govt shafting you it seems no ones interested.

People, imagine MUSLIMS or IMMIGRANTS especially illegal ones had killed David Kelly and were giving half answers to an inquiry about a war. WOudl that get you more wound up i wonder?

Does this pic change your mind about who the real enemy to you is?

What a farce! I could get quite wound up about this too, but what can the average man in the street do? Short of organising a protest in London every week with more than a million people (see how well the march against the Iraq war worked ) until they come clean, what can we do?

I think its pretty obvious to everyone that ALL the political parties are bent, lying, colluding, conniving self serving rip off merchants of the first water. And would say pretty much anything to stay in/ get in power. The expenses scandel was so widespread and so basic you'd have to have an IQ of 1 not to understand what our politicians are really like.

Dr David Kelly was most likely murdered. Princess Di was most likely murdered. WMD most certainly didn't exist. The 'war' dossier was most likely 'sexed' up. But until someone tells the truth you have 'plausible denyability'.

But don't worry, there will be no university tuition fees, and there will be a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty ---- sorry, they've already been proven liars on those two.

Over half the current Cabinet are Lords. Are they answerable to Parliament? They aren't allowed in the House of Commons so how can they be questioned.

Does the current Govt/incoming party want Dr Kelly's postmortem in the public domain? No, because that would lead to why did we collude with America to start an illegal war. And having raised that one it wouldn't be a huge step to seeing our (bent) politicians before the Courts in the Hague.

We elected those politicians and we, via our taxes, would end up paying the war reparations when, not if, they were found guilty.

And relax 2,3,4...

Good post.

You make a good point about our taxes too. There is a group out there who have taken it so far that they are refusing to pay their taxes to Govt at all. Their idealogy is that since Tory bLiar lied about the reasons for war and has warrants outstanding against him for war crimes charges we who pay our taxes and thus financially support an illegal war are therfore colluding with the govt by giving our money knowing to a war criminal and an ongoing illegal war.

I'll try and find the link to their site later as they obviously explain it better than i do. the fun thing is you have to ask your employer to stop your taxes going to Govt so they have letters you can download to give to them. And in the letter it says things like "now hthat you are aware of this fact i would urge you as the direct/fd/md to also withold your taxes and urge you to notify the rest of the company"
Gotta have some big cajones to give a letter like that to your boss, lol.

I hope that someone brings a judicial review of this.

It's truly shocking. There might of course be a good (and lawful) reason, but I can't think of anything. It stinks of a cover up, someone is anxious for some particularly difficult truths to remain hidden, hoping that in 70 years nobody will care. After all, what were you doing in 1940????

Even if it is all above board, why the secrecy about the 70 year order? And why make the order in the first place? And on whose directions?

It's blatantly corrupt.

We are being treated as idiots and Sid and Spidey, I join you in the spleen camp.

Being the man who knows about legal things Ed, who would have the power to do this?

us mere plebs or someone from the establishment itself?

Anyone with a genuine interest. Anyone really, as the matter is one of public interest. You, even Most likely a stop the war group or some such.

TBH I'm outraged. I thought that this sort of covert secrecy had ended years ago, and to think that Brown and his homies must have known. 'Oh yes we're going to be open with you and tell the truth' - this doesn't seem a very good start.

What I come back to is that somebody died. There was a body, and a funeral. A family lost a husband and a father. The country lost a hugely respected and intelligent man. And the Executive have tried to hush it up. I wonder what else is going to crawl out of the woodwork. I remember that interview on the Today programme and being utterly shocked, thinking 'how could this be true'. Sid you are right to remind us of the Hutton enquiry. It cost Gavyn Davies his career but Dr Kelly is now dead. Will they stop at nothing.

70 years!?

I'm speechless. There should be an open and clear enquiry, except in the circumstances that it uncovers some truths we'd rather remain buried.

I feel a sense of total despair that at the upcoming elections I'm essentially going to have to vote for someone. I'm going to have to put a little cross next to a name and say "That person can be trusted to represent me". Because that's a lie. Party politics has given us a nothing of a choice.

Of course if you're really suspicious, you might think that there is nothing odd about all this, and that in fact it was made secret for 70 years to distract the conspiracy theorists away from something else. A deliberate double bluff, in effect.
