I've got a 1 watt LED head torch - its really bright, I can easily use it to work by, walk the dog etc. Cost £15.

Rechargeable camping lantern, about 15 quid and flourescant so lasts ages, remote control as well so can turn it off from the door.

You've given me an idea to light up my shed - I have a few LED indicator bulbs kicking about (not bright enough to use as indicators) and a spare car battery - oh and some broken stock indicators to use as mounts. The only drawback is it'll all be orange
