Unfortunately, this happens in all organisations when they have run out of things to do / spend money on.
The NHS spend millions on 3rd party business consultants and seminars, many unrelated to medical. My wife works in the NHS and is forced into going on team building seminars, or how to feel better in the workplace crap. They shut the whole department for the day, attendance is compulsory, then government moan about the patient figures and waiting lists. Too many chiefs, not enough work for them to do, idle hands and all that... |
