Whys five months a bit early?
I'm pregnant and my org bloke moved in before five months, but then we have a grown up relationship. Mind you, Jinxy there was obviously a reason for you not wanting her to move in, so she seems childish for ending something just because she can't have her own way. Not the right girl for you then. Hopefully the next one will be better.

I think time over moving is something that is just different for everyone. Stretchie moved in as a housemate and within two months, we were together. It hasn't exactly been bad for us as anyone that knows us will tell you.
We've both said before that it's kind of a shame that we never had the "anticipation" stage of the relationship. That whole, "will he/she call or when will I see him/her again" at the very beginning and we very quickly just fell into the life we have now. It's worked for us and given the chance, I wouldn't change a thing, but I would normally say that 5 months is a bit soon. Sounds like you got a "get out of jail free" card there Jinxy as if she can't be adult enough to work through somehting like that, you're better off without. There's someone out there that will make you wonder what you ever saw in anyone else.....hope she comes along soon x |

A friend of mine started seeing a guy late last year. They were very hot 'n' heavy, she was talking about looking for a job nearer to where he lives, moving in, and so on. Then the honeymoon period wore off (for her) and she backed off, leaving her bloke wondering if he'd done something wrong. They're okay now, and taking it slower. I have also personally known several ladies go from pleasant to psycho during this period. However, it's only a guideline. I got together with my wife in April 2002, we bought a house together in September and got married the following July. Nearly seven years later we have two children and are very, very happy. So it turns out, sometimes it's best to ignore the rules ![]()

Neither myself or Peg are at the age of looking at life through rose tinted specs. We have a lot of life experiences between us to not bother with a honeymoon period.
Having 200 miles or more between us, there wasn't really much use for it anyway. gets kind of expensive wining and dining from afar, especially phone bills. IF you are open and honest about everything from the beginning there is no reason why things can't go the right way. When theres a divorce from one side, a child of 8 from another, and a home you own, its not in the territory of teenage lurve anymore. When your fella says hes moving up there to be nearer you, you aren't going to complain, even better when it makes more sense for him to just move in your house instead. On the other hand in my last relationship it took four years for my ex to move in with me, it lasted a year before we decided we just couldn't live together as a couple, loved each other to death as friends in the end(we were best mates in the first place) but when things aren't meant to be they aren't meant to be. Sometimes you play the rules and it doesn't work, sometimes you don't....and we'll just have to see ![]()
