i honestly dont get what people are saying, if its polished off, regardless of how loud the exhaust is, how would the plod know it said 'not for road use' before hand?
if its not there then they cant prosecute you on the assumption that it 'might' have been |

as to mot time, forget noise, concentrate on not for road use engraving.chatting to my mot tester recently, he said if i see it i fail the bike, however if it was covered with tape of any sort and couldn,t see it he would pass the bike for a mot. he was not allowed to remove tape as it would be defacing bike.

my bike mot tester is a nice guy. the way he see's it, the louder the exhaust the more likely you are to be seen and is therefore safer

The key thing is that if you're going to break the law, irrespective of whether the law is sensible or not, then be a man and don't try and hide what you're doing. |

so people who scrub off the marking are women? well you learn something new everyday.... and the thought of seeing a police officer sat looking through the internet trying to find an exact match for the exhaust on a bike and then read though its manufacturer terms of use is even more laughable |

The reason for posting this topic is,The cans are for comp use because they are straight through with NO BAFFLES! ANY IDIOT KNOWS THAT! Oh How was the title changed on this post What I was asking was if I fitted aftermarket baffles in order to Lower the noise from the cans would this make them Road Legal, Thus meaning there would be know need for the stamp stating for competition use only, which is why I polished it off, I AM NOT TRYING TO BREAK THE LAW, IF I WAS I WOULD RIDE WITH BAFFLES OUT AND STAMP STILL ON!!! I've got kenz twin racing cans on at the moment, (straight through), very loud. They set the car alarms off in the car park at work.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to add baffles to these easily to quieten them down a bit? They don't have any stamps stating just for race use etc, so i'd imagine they'd get through a mot with baffles? |
