there normally classed as a streetfighter.
As sid squid's declination they are normally played around mechanically.
The normal change is a larger rear sprocket= wheelies
if you got for it search within the forum for what the st'd bike rear cog size is. I think is 45 tooth but correct m if i'm wrong

Ooooof ! No, I won`t be doing wheelies.
Not if I can help it anyway.
At the mo the bike has been lowered , has a hugger, fenda extenda , and has lovely luggage racks on it but apart from that its standard. The tail tidy, twin lights etc are things I want to do to it when ( if ) I get it.

Personally I wouldn't touch anything that says streetfighter. To me that word screams
'Hi I am chavtastic,I have pulled many wheelies on my bike, and have crashed it and repaired it, it might look nice, but its all bodged and when you take it home, it'll cause you a big headache'

I'd go for one that says it has had a careful owner, and has had various things added to make it look nice.
ORRR
In the case of me buying my V Raptor recently, I could have gone for a whole boatload of them on ebay that were all singing, all dancing, with somebody elses mods attached, probably, their set up for suspension etc etc. I opted for the standard un molested variety so I can do the things I want to do to it, to my taste rather than someone elses....and know it was done properly too.

I agree, I dont want someone elses mess ups.
The one I`m looking at is basically a standard one except the hugger, and being lowered, and has full service history too. The bits I want to do to it are just to try and personalise it a bit, make it look less geeky at the front.

Even if everyone thinks its an ugly piece of poo, if the riding position suits me better and I can actually ride the thing then its useful, a gorgeous bike I cant ride or am too scared to damage expensive fairings on that sits in the garage like my last one, is useless.

And ! If I do get to grips with it, I can always fit the S fairings at a later date and leave the handlebars, or sell it and buy an S.
At least, thats what i`m thinking at the moment.
I`ve done much thinking lately.........my head hurts

Oh, as for being "Chavtastic", I saw a fetching range of pink and brown vulgalour tracksuits in Primark, I just need a suitable baseball cap and some bling, init tho

If you love it - thats all that matters xx

I have a battered er5, he wouldn't pass any beauty shows by a long shot - but I loves him, will be sad to see him go really....
He gets the p*ss taken out of him by all the shiny bikes but we dont care haha.

This is true.

Awww, just keep the ER-5 then too ? Do a resto on it or just muck about with it. Mind you I had too many old cars ( from a failed business ) so had a clearout recently and got rid of 4 of them. Still got 5 cars left but only 2 of them work and I can only drive 1 at a time so will get rid of another 1 or 2.

If it has a lowered seat and tasteful mods it should be ok. Streetfighters for the most part are a cheaper way of fixing an old sportsbike that's been chucked down the road. The standard-type bars will also make it easier for you to paddle and push the bike around than clip-ons. Fitting a fairing to a naked is possible, but might be quite expensive. Unless you need to be doing long distances regularly, or like going ton-up, you should be fine. My old bike was unfaired, with an even more upright position than an SV-N, wind was not a problem til about 80, and only an inconvenience up til 95ish. A fly-screen would get rid of the bulk of that problem if it affects you, for a lot less than a fairing. Find a picture of Barwel1992's SV, (before his accident), it was a streetfightered SV-N.
