Why?

It's up to the respondee's if they are happy to have the poll results in view.

The 'private' people don't have to respond, and equally who knows how I responded.

if you dont have it private and those who want to vote on it to give you a reflection - which is what you're after ultimately - dont want to be identified as a labour supporter, Lib Dem supporter, whomever, then they're not going to vote are they?

bit like in "real life"

Like anybody really gives a hoot who someone else votes for, you should be proud about who you vote for your wanting them to run the country, but if thats how you feel dont vote..
