Bloody hell!
That was a very quick accident. Rossi is lucky to get away with a broken leg! |

Biggy was'nt it!
Was cos of that unlucky "PunksNotDead" haircut. ![]() Payback time for 2011. All the motivation he will need what with Lorenzo being a shoe-in this year now. |

Suzi Perry has said on twitter that Rossi's operation went well and hes all pinned up, and has 6 weeks on crutches and then his leg has t be re-evaluated after that to see when he can start training and racing again etc.
Kind puts a downer on the season, and gives Lorenzo a real upperhand... Stoner crashing twice and Rossi out of the running now, but still plenty of interesting battles to come between the likes of Hayden, Spies and Stoner I reckon, so should still be good even though we will miss the GOAT |

Part of me wonders if Rossi will come back this season and just start next season a fresh. Hope not though.
Lorenzo looks favourite tbh unless Stoner can find his confidence again. |

all the details on the operation so far
![]() http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2010/rossi+after+surgery I think he will come back and get 4rd or 4th in the c'ship, but by that time Lorenzo will be too far ahead and if Dani keeps up his form then he will be 2nd for sure. As for the rest if they keep going as they have been then Rossi has every chance of coming back and challenging them all I think. |

Part of me wonders if he will retire and go four wheels next year.I thought he would win it again this year but have a hard job doing it,and that the young guns would take over next year. This injury puts all that to one side, and the young guns will get their time starting now.
Incidently who will take the works Yam seat while Rossi is away?My money is on Edwards moving over.

I think Edwards will go across and take Rossi's bike. Then they'll bring up somebody from WSB or Moto 2. I am wandering whether they might offer a ride to Elias for example ? I think If Lorenzo can stay on his bike in the form he looks to be in I would say he is favourite for this year. But does Rossi being out through injury devalue it somehow. He is after all the rider that they all want to beat.

Elias is the obvious choice but would he take it?He is set fair to win the Moto2 championship and maybe should go for that, rather than a few wildcard rides in Motogp.

I think you're right on the 'devaluation' of the title. It would be unfair on Lorenzo though, given that his form thus far would suggest he could win the title even with Rossi competing.
