bugger me - would you believe 38 miles out of Stranraer and I get pulled by 2 plod in an unmarked beige volvo, apparantly it was "disrepectful" of me to shake my head as I passed their speedtrap. You Really couldnt make it up.....

I don't believe it...we don't have a beige volvo...it's silver...!!

I'm sure its a beige ish one - stopped around 11 ish. the 2 guys were actually pretty ok, spoke to me about why I shook my head. I was pretty ****ed off but had quite a decent conversation - they put their point across and I told them what I thought....

In fairness they didnt stick me on for anything (waving down another bike, loud cans, illegal visor) but the standard uk police answer to ALL crime and traffic enforcment is speed enforcment. they were pretty decent though (especially for traffic) so I shouldnt moan.....

And no, speed enforcement has nothing to do with crime, but on the A75 we do have a particularly high proportion of fatal or life changing accidents and to be honest some people drive at ridiculous speeds on so yeah, our traffic boys tend to hit it hard.

Our boys are not too bad with the likes of cans an visors, they use their heads, if it's a sunny day, they realise why people wear them and stuff. Glad you had an ok experience with them as I am pretty certain I know who it was!!
