Scoobs - was the 140, mate has the 170 and he gave me a lift in that, noticebly more torque and power.

I've drove the 170 version Audi, and have to say I was impressed. I've had that for a long weekend and had a BMW 118d for a week.
Both are great little cars, but expensive for what they are (however paying for the brand). If driven un-ecomical they will both pull quick and will responde when you want them to. If I'm honest I wasn't really expecting the power delivery in the Audi that I received when I drove it. I would have the Audi as I think it is under estimated compaired to the BMW. You after new or used? As we have an Audi A3 Sportback S Line 170 that I'm about to arrange for the leasing company to collect as the member of staff who was going to purchase it finance fell though. Cheers for answers. Sounds a bit 50:50 tbh. They are quite similar in the areas that matter to me. I'm not after anything blistering. That's what the bike is for innit.
I need something reasonably economical, well built, not French. If you look at the specs, there is not much in it. The only real difference is front or rear wheel drive. Oh and Lily, it's going to be new - lease hire company car. Thanks for the offer though. |
