Depends entirely what you're doing with it.

YC - transporting blood, tissue and body parts - Hence the luggage requirements. Its needs to be fast and modded for blue and twos

Pan Euro, find an ex MOD one that's already modified for you.
Though they don't go round corners particularly well, maybe something more sportsbike-like would be better. One of those big stupid BMW 4s? Busa?

Whats wrong with what you got?
Every bike tours and takes luggage. Coming from a Firestorm, I looked for comfort two-up, hard luggage capability, tank range, low and midrange grunt, how it ticks along at 80-90mph.... and err, looks cool-as-feck ![]() ![]() |

Stram - its a 650 and Would rather keep that my own than hand it over to the organisation. Besides I'm hoping I can get a dealer to provide us with a sponsorship bike. But if not then i need to start gather info now

Again, no good pointing at all these bike types if Q has a set budget.

No point having a big lardy-but-ballistic tourer like a busa if you're going to put some lass who's 4 foot 3 and normally rides a GS500 on it. If you're short of budget ZZR1100s are awesome bits of kit but there are hundreds of bikes which work well. Also work out expected mileage use, as if high that would strongly favour a shaft drive.

In all seriousness, if you are worried about cost/maintenance and want a job bike... Dullville.
Reliable shaft drive (thats the germans oot!), proper comfort with fairings, integrated hard cases, unburstable and smooth V-twin. Nothing else comes close unless you go down the heavy weight tourer route. (FJR/Pan/RT) Too big and cumbersome in town IMO. If I had to despatch again it would be my number one. |

As mentioned elsewhere, Yam FJR1300 seems rapid, stable, loads of space. Very popular with the emergency services, so obviously can be modded for lights etc and you may find some coming out of service now already modified.
