If you ask my boss about perks he would turn round and say to you "youve got a bloody job dont you?"

depends on the job really

I recently went for an interview, the interviewer thought my request for free parking was strange... He seemed to think that paying £7 a day for parking was normal... Strange interview, 3 people in the room with me, alljust staring... it was like a were children of the corn all grown up...

Share Option Scheme
Bupa Health Care
Company bonus if we hit sales targets, my deparmental targets and personal objectives set during appraisal time. 20% gross, with a stretch to 30% gross, but I pay tax on it.

Thats about it, I used to get my broadband paid for by work so I could do on call from home, but that was taken away a little while ago.

I never seem to have problems finding a car park space at work

Just a pity there are no bike parking facilities, last I knew there are about 200 staff on site

I get just a car at the moment and a 6% contributory pension which I've not signed up to... Everything else about my current job is ****e.

In the job I start next month I get a few extras;

Home/site based, so not stuck in an office
Much better car
Fuel card
Credit card for all expenses
10% pension
Share scheme
Health care
Life insurance (probably needed lol)
Gym at the head office, although it's 250 miles away.

Biggest perk of the new job is probably the job, visiting beautiful isolated locations.

Perks are a very personal thing, I could not care less about most of them providing I get a nice car and a good salary.

Perks...what are they. We used to get a lot with Xerox, and over the years they have dwindles. Even out private healthcare now has a £100 excess!

Get anything you can is all i say.

I went for a veterinary pharmaceuticals interview the other day, they offer a salary of £30-40k
Perks:
-private pension
- discount on their products
- bupa health cover
- lunch allowance
- company car and fuel allowance
- company laptop
- mid year £1k bonus
- entertainment allowance
- up to £16k end of year bonus if targets are met

Needless to say, I would be minted if I got it and the perks were amazing however being on the edge of the territory I would be driving over 300 miles a day to get to some of my practices and that means I wouldnt have much of a social life....swings and roundabouts.
