Yes that would be a definite suspect. Have you left it stood for a long time or anything?

If you can get it started, just feel the Reg Rec, if its getting pretty hot then I would also say that was the problem. Mine went a few weeks ago. Good old Curvys

Nope, used pretty much every day, rain or shine. I've done some nice long rides on it recently too (like down to Matt's wedding!) so it's not like it's the short journeys that are draining it too quickly.

Well the original reg/rec part number is 32800-14F01, and Robinsons Foundry are charging £186.78 for a new one! :O
I know my 02 Curvy S has a GSXR600 one in, dunno what year though. Ebay or breakers perhaps. EDIT: Fiche link: http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...oup/ELECTRICAL |

Tons on fleabay for a fraction of that amount though (although pattern).
Saying that, I bet someone here will be able to tell you which r/r's from other bikes will go on. Not sure I'd want another Sv one as they are so notorious for being ****e... |

Think mines just gone pop. Took the alarm off and got a new battery a while back as it had issues, Peg used it Tuesday, was fine, starte fine this morning, got to work, switched off to get through warehouse gates, went to turn it back on and it sounded like the battery was flat!
On an optimate at work for now...then I have a choice of two reg recs to try at some point, as replacement.

Yeah I think it's got a different one on there already, so I don't want an SV one on if I can avoid it! Do they fail quite regularly then? Even if they're not SV ones?
