I'm looking into making a spindle to fit my SV wheel to my 750 k7 front end. Just because the gsx front wheels are too pricey at the moment.

I just need to get a front mud guard then motivate myself into measuring up and machining.

I'd be interested to see how you get on doing this. Shouldn't be too hard, although if you're using the SV speedo drive, then you'll need an agrangement to stop the drive spining round. But that shouldn't be hard for a man of your talents Davie

That's why I used the SV1000 disks.

A brand new delkevik wheel was only about £130.....

Finally got around to measuring up the front end...
The internal fork gap distance on the GSXR front end is smaller than the SV so there is not enough room to fit the speedo drive.
It would be quite simple to make a spindle to fit the SV wheel (without the drive), but to tidy things up, a dust seal would have to be made for the left hand side of the wheel where the speedo fits. All in all, too much bother for no gain.

So... any one got a gsxr (k1-k5) front wheel?

What about SRAD yokes? I think they are wider than new stuff

I thought Delkevic made K1-5 wheels for cheap, but also thought from your 1 st post you had K6/7 forks?

The discs would then need spacing to match calipers

The SV1000 discs I have will fit K1-5, the k6-7 have a bigger bore dia on the discs, the earlier wheels have a slightly bigger offset on the discs. IMO

Should fit. The SRAD wheel (and discs) fits in the K1-K3 bikes (with a slightly machined spindle) so I can't see why it wouldn't work the other way around. SRAD and K1-K3 discs are the same. Flat 320, same spacings and drillings.

I've got a spindle that has been machined so an SRAD wheel fits in a K1-K3 bike if you want the measurements.

Looking at this :
http://www.twfracing.com/vbforums/showthread.php?t=529
The disc spacing is 2mm different, which may work fine, new pads may be a little tight.
and the bearings are spaced differently, hence the different spindle required.

I may now revert back to fitting the SV front wheel...

I have now bought two front wheels, both have been bent
