Anybody got any thoughts on Skidmarx fairings? M&P can do them for £105 in red so sounds like a decent option.
Where are the red ones for £105? The cheapest I can find on M&P are £120 and it doesn't specify a colour?

Thanks . Considering getting some and that's a very good price.

However, I'm pretty sure the curvy had two different shades of red? Mine's the same colour as yours but there's also a darker maroon type red so I'd get in touch with M & P and ask for a picture of the colour before ordering.

I'm pretty sure there was only one shade of red per year. As long as you pick the correct year for your bike they should be able to provide colour matched fairings.

I'm running my bike half faired at the moment after a prang that destroyed my lower fairings.

I have noticed f**k all difference with protection from the elements. With or without the lowers, it rains - you get wet, you're going fast - you get hit by the wind. That's motorbikes for you

Do you think it's more aesthetically pleasing with them on or off?

Personally I prefer the look with them fitted.

I prefer it with them on. Definately. Only reason they're not on now is I'm currently waiting to pick up a set with a slightly less destroyed RHS fairing

they defintely make no difference to wind buffeting, or getting wet, just depends on wether you like the look of them.

Take approx 30 mins to fit all brackets and both panels, the worst part is lining up the brackets to the bolt holes, but not difficult.

The 2 panels slot together at the front under the down pipe and 2 nut and bolt fixings secure there.

If you do buy second hand make sure you get all brackets, ive seen loads on ebay minus the brackets.

2nd hand lowers are going to cost me around £50. A bracket kit is about £20. Spraying is another £50 depending on the condition of them.

New ones are £105, but nobody knows much about them. Buy cheap buy twice could rear it's ugly head.

Grrrrrr! Need to decide really don't I!
