That seat looks OK to me - I'd use it. I doubt it would pass scrutineering by Mrs T though.
Around town it's no worse than the plastic seats on the back of pushbikes - and those kids have often got no kind of safety gear on. I've seen a couple of cyclists round here with babies in a trailer - inches off the ground. That makes me wince a little TBH. |

It seems like a good idea - but I'm not sure if I'd use it. Like others have said, I'd want small person to be able to get on herself, hold on and have gear that fits.
She is desperate to get out on the bike with me and to go camping, only problem is the camping kit goes normally goes where she'd sit! |

If you have an accident on the bike, bike slides down the road, you slide... i assume generally seperatly to the bike! Wouldnt this thing keep child strapped to the bike whilst it slides (and god forbid tumbles??) down the road?
I dont have kids but i wouldnt use it!! |

I also wouldnt use it for the above reasons.
You can bail from the bike if needed, the child can't |

What a f'ing stupid idea, lets just strap a child to 200kg of metal then propel it down the road at 70mph. I can't believe it took until 10:48pm for someone to mention it. What if the bike somersaults in an accident?
Kids are too fragile anyway, they can't cope with hitting a fence post with as much chance of survival as an adult. I used to think 10 years old, but my niece is getting towards that age now, and looking at the size and strength of her body I've changed my mind, my son will be a teenager (13) before he gets on the back, on a public road, above 30mph. take a look at the manufacturer website, look in photos and then 'privat photos' scroll through and it shows you some of the ****'s that would use this, theres a few kids on the scooters dont even have jackets/gloves on... jsut a helmet and Tee, Worse still there is a teneré or super Teneré on there and the child looks to be wearing a push bike hemet!
