It does sound like a kaput battery as that should start it without no issues.

I have a LiPo battery built from 8x A123 cells, same as Maviryk sells. Starts the bike with no problem at all, 4.6Ah and 700g.

Unless you have a big compression bored and stroked motor, there is something wrong if an 8Ah battery won't fire it.

Yes you're right, the Marviryk batteries are around £11 cheaper (at todays exchange rate)

but, when you add in postage to the UK the B&W battery is £9.41 cheaper ($45 shipping to the UK vs £8 Special Delivery)

Nothing has been done inside the motor as per minitwin rules, I know the batteries I tried it with were replaced for a better one, maybe this is why. Starter relay is having none of it though. Still goes on my standard battery.

Have a look on Ebay for a VARTA YTX7L-BS Gel. I got mine delivered for £28 and it could crank a tractor over. Its only half the size of the original too.

It'll allow you to put the starter relay in the battery tray too.

I used a YTX5L-BS all season and never had an issue.
