Yeah, but the batteries that can run them for any amount of time needed to be developed...

Anyways, I am on Android 2.2.1 - Elelinux_Froyo_2.2_RC1

Battery life depends on how you use the phone. Last charge I used it fora few phone calls and some texts and limited internet use the calender and alarms and got a nice 3.5 days out of it. Thats a desire, so one of the more powerful phones.

Battery life is much improved when you turn off data when you arnt using it and Wifi when you arnt using it. If I hammer it with internet and the odd game ill get just over a day, which is still enough as I can then charge over night...

Anyway, All they need to do with the 1.5GHz is get a fat 2000maH battery in there.

Agreed, I also use the switch widgets for wifi and mobile data and turn off/on as needed...I'd also expect there to be some power saving features in a chipset than runs 2 CPUs, i.e. one goes to sleep when the phone is not that busy or the screen is off etc.

I really would like to have the option to bootstrap linux too, so I can choice to run that over Android if I wish. Having a phone can run a full blown linux OS and can take input from a mini-usb based keyboard would be the ultimate for me! One day...
