I was gonna say, cant you jump it off the silver one, but then I looked again at how much snow you have had !

When you do get the battery back to life, I'd give it a good few heats of the glow plugs before you actually crank it. Our Focus was a b*stard for not starting properly when the temperature was into the minus figures.

Aye, a late TDDI. It definately sounded like it wanted to start (tbh I'm not sure why I cranked it! Not like I could take it anywhere) but I could hear the speed of the turnover dropping pretty quick. I'm happy the initial slow turnover was just because of the cold but it was getting worse not better which I'm pretty sure was the battery losing the will to live.

(and yeah, as far as I can tell it's a close run competition to see what will write this car off- the DMF, the clutch, or me not actually knowing how to drive!)

It's usually OK at cold starts, but I can't fault it for this one, it's no spring chicken and it's so damn cold (-9 on my pedal back home tonight... -12 now)
