Each time i go out on mine i check the brakes a few times before i even leave my road.
Major school boy mistake.

Your first post was written correctly. Obviously the lone wolf has no idea how to use roundabouts, lol.

Give way to the right is correct.

I hoped I would avoid further confusion and edited the original post ... lol. Clearly it didn't help much ... haha. Lone Wolf was right to be confused. I don't know why I think right and say left ... it happens way too often.

For what it worth, I live on that street, that was the first time I had to use the brakes ... lesson well learned ... the easy way.

Well you're obviously reading it post-edit

Sounds like a heart stopper. Always advisable to squeeze the brakes when there's nothing to hit should they decide not to play ball if you've left the bike for a while. Preferably whilst at walking pace, in fact. Lesson learnt, and not quite the hard way, well done for keeping upright.
