I have a pair of these, they are strong enough and a good size, but mine got destroyed in a crash, so just bought another pair, cheers.
Also bought the ground anchor for £11.99 ( 038/3088 ) it will be rubbish, a thief could pick my angle grinder up off the shelf and go straight through it, but I'm in a rented house so don't want to fit a decent one into the garage floor. My insurance says that the bike has to be secured by my chain and disk lock, when in my garage, but doesn't stipulate what it should be chained to, so at least it'll give me something to point to if the police and insurance assessor ever need to visit. |

Argos - What a bunch of To55ers.
Ordered my set of Oxford panniers last night for collection. While I was on their site I looked at tents. A lot out of stock so I went for a more expensive one. At the same time I looked at sleeping bags. Mind made up I ordered the panniers, tent and sleeping bag for collection today. Up I went an hour ago with instructions to also get milk and come nans for our friday curry (not from Argos). Used the quick pay in argos and collected the items. The panniers were not Oxford ones. I walked back to the car and put the items in the car. Off to tescos a couple of doors down and got the milk and nan breads. I walked back to Argos and used their machine to look at the panniers, Definitely Oxford First time ones. So back to the car, drop off the milk and nans. Pick up the panniers, tent and sleeping bag and back to Argos Customer Services. Told them the panniers were not the ones in the picture. The back screen (for staff only) says Oxford. The Helpful woman at CS said that the main page didn't say Oxford. I tried to explain that if you viewed a Gucci watch and then on collection you were given a Timex you would not be happy. Unfortunately this analogy was wasted on her. Anyway I told her I wanted a refund for all 3 items and the only reason I ordered the tent and sleeping bag was to make things easier for me (that didn't work, did it!). If you have ordered these panniers for delivery you may not get Oxford ones. Did anyone get them and were they the right ones and I am not sure what Oxford will think of Argos using an image of their product to sell something else. And it cost me £2.50 for the bl00dy parking! Sorry guys. |

Just home with mine, again reserved last night... Not Oxford but autotegnica, the illustrious brand it is :S looked them up and they're on amazon at £30 delivered... They didn't have any left near me so spent the £23 plus 4quid in petrol to bloody pick them up!! Still they seem ok... Anyone else got these and how are they rated?
