sad thing is everyone up here seems to be buying older bikes, and the German's also cleared out Newcastle of 2 year old bikes for the last 2 years

... and Polish folk make regular trips to collect older bikes by the van load
Our poor rate of exchange works in favour of visitors from the continent, and they can get a ferry to just outside Newcastle

It's getting more difficult to find bikes around the North East at sensible prices

ps. I'm still looking for a summer bike, let me know what you have (see ad in the wanted section, and apoligies for the semi-hijack )

theres a trade sale at kawa newcastle, saw it the other day out back.
A good haggle could be possible its overpriced at 2k

Best time to buy is when the weather is at its worse. Snow and ice. That now gone, people will already be thinking about spring and buying a bike. Much the same as yourself I expect.
