clean the connectors that go to the reg / rec i had an k6 sv and myn kept discargin and it was the wires were corroded.

Why you need to be fancy about it? Run speaker wire across if you want, you only need 12V at a couple of amps if that.


Just check your charging system is OK to be safe, only a multimeter and 5 minutes job.

If in same situation again just stick the battery on charge for a few hours every fortnight and it will be fine.

Just ride the bike everyday , ive never needed a replacement battery on the sv in 3 years and the 40000 miles of ownership. I knew there was at least one con of being a summer rider.

Exactly what i used, speaker wire hanging from the window lol.
