Sorry, it doesn't say in the OP the age of the tyre, was only making a suggestion.

Have you done anything to the bike such as altering suspension settings. Have you checked bearings for play?
Is your rear shock knackered? It could be any of these causes, or indeed a knackered tyre. My bike used to feel real twitchy in corners when I was running Bridgestones. Fitting Avon Storms cured it. |

My rear is starting to square off due to daily commute through town, but that doesnt seem to be affecting the cornering, as took it out this avo for fun very twisty blast and it seemed fine.

The tyre is fine, plenty of life left yet.
Once you decide a tyre is knackered though, your mindset will make you think it really is, even if it isn't. Forget it, pretend you have a nice, new, smooth, round tyre and go out and concentrate on the roads. Pete ![]() |

My rear is squared off and i feel the ridge when a go from vertical to a lean, i dont get any un nerving feeling and i know it happens each time i lean, my new front and rear suspension will sort it and get it round again as todays rideout proved and i took 12mm of chicken strips off my rear tyre because the suspension is solid for the 1st time since i bought the bike. Might have something to do with your suspension??

Hi guys, thanks for the helpful advice.
I checked the pressures and they were close to 28 for both. Pumped them back to 33/36 as recommended. Might have been the problem :$ Can't find any defects on either tyre either. Feels a lot more even when leaning but only had a short trip. You're right when someone earlier said it plays on the mind. Will try to ride it normally and see if the "feeling" comes back... I have checked the play in the bearings and can't feel any play. Also I haven't done anything to the suspension. It's been sitting on my drive most of the time, I take it out at least once a week so the tyres aren't flat spotted etc. I guess they've been slowly dropping pressure until it started effecting handling... Will check the make of tyre tomorrow. Are bridgestones known for this? |

You should be checking your tyre pressures at least once a week as routine! Tyres can lose pressure as a matter of course so you should check them frequently.

How olds the bike?
How many miles? Rear shock could be worn, front suspension could need servicing. Tyre pressures are important otherwise it will feel wallowey. |
