The Acer 5742 is available with the rather more powerful Core i3 processor and 500GB hard drive at Tesco for £349.
My wifes Acer Aspire was bought as a desktop PC replacement about 7 years ago and is used daily by both her and my 5 year old daughter. I am staggered by the abuse it has taken (e.g. being dropped from the arm of our sofa onto a wood floor numerous times). A bit slow by today's standards, but still does what she needs. |
