The oil you use should be 10W40 oil that conforms to the API SF or SG also it must have "JASO MA" on the specification, this ensures it is suitable for bikes with oil wet clutches such as the SV has. The make and whether is is Dyno, semi synthetic or synthetic are all contentious topics but any good make oil that has that specification wont do you engine any harm.

Ensure your antifreeze is stated as suitable for aluminum engines, not all are. Again its wise to use a good make. De-ionized water should also be used instead of tap water. I think distilled water is better but hard to find now.

No need to completely warm it.

Way I do it; fill it to F mark or little bit over, start up, check oil light has gone out within couple seconds. Wipe filter, rev it a bit and check for leakage, turn off. Wait couple of minutes and then recheck level and fill to F mark again.

Bike has crank breathers anyway, it makes little difference IME.
