That sounds about the right for a subframe.

They covered the pillion peg hangers with something on mine but if I refit them I will tap the holes just incase.

Might be worth getting yourself a wee tap and die set as they come in really handy.

Are you having bike set up on a dyno? If it is a race filter it will run too weak unless you jet up to suit.

I had planned to get it done, just not straight away, if that is the case I shall hold off on the air-filter. With regards to re-jetting, am I incorrect in thinking that as mine is an 03, pointy that it's fuel injected? So would need a remap as apposed to rejet?

It's in the garage the morning having all the new shiny bits fitted. Can't wait to get it back and go play with it. I shall post pictures once it's fitted. Told the insurance about the mods and there was no extra charge on the policy itself, but they won't cover the cost of the parts added in a crash. The only bad bit was £25 to make a change to the policy.

Couple of suggestions....

Don't forget to tell your insurers about all the changes from standard that you've made. Otherwise you'll no longer be insured most likely.

When you're taking the rear sub off take lots of pics of every stage so you don't miss anything out or re-thread the loom in wrong on re-assemble.

I've got a Fuel on my K3 - sounds 'wicked' according to my biker sons. It certainly turns heads
