6'5"?? are your knees even round the tank, or do you squeeze it with your calves?
You sure youre that tall?

I know ive only met you once but you didnt seem taller than me

Im 6"1' and i found the sv small for me tbh, when i looked at pics of me on it, it looked too small for me as well.

6'3" and just under 16 stone. I too used all standard but i oddly found it more comfortable after the gsxr front end as my clipons sit lower than the standard. I raisedthe back end to make maneuvering easier

I find a more aggressive seating position comfier

I'm 6' and about 17st geared up and I feel like I'm on the SV's limit. I can still ride many hours without fatigue but honestly, I am looking at a larger bike mainly for some extra comfort on those long rides.

I too look too big for this bike in the pictures, but probably has to do with volume rather than length.

I've tried the buell's pegs and while significantly more comfortable for the legs, they pushed the boots outwards making gear changes feel strange. This was some time ago, maybe is time to give them another try.

I'm 6' 1" and 12 stone - I find that I can't downshift without taking my heel off the peg, I can't bend my foot far enough to reset the gear level to allow another down shift if it's just done one. Has anybody else had this? Did you fix it my just turning the nut on the gear lever rod?

Yes, it sounds like you need to adjust the gear lever position which is fairly easy once you loosen the nuts on the shifting rod.
