I dont necessarily mean insurance for the bike, but things like professional indemnity / public liability etc. With such a "high risk" company, esp with the "I'll sue you for breathing on me" culture.

I think all that lot is covered, but then I do remember signing my life away at the start....
Anyway it didn't cost me a penny extra to crash.

Bonus....and you were thoughtful enough to do it at the end of the day, not the first lap!

If you know you are pushing it then back the fook off, I didn't and it hurt a lot, wallet and body!

I knew I was pushing it hard, I could feel the back end stepping out round the corners, I could see my instructors back end stepping out (later found out he is known for this......) and I didn't back off.

To be honest I was a bit ****ed it was raining and i was going for it even in the rain.

Even with the crash I feel I learnt a lot, mostly about body position and corner lines. I do have a greater appreciation for my Triumph with so much torque over the revy Honda..... not a fan.

Haslam school seems to repair as many of the crashed bikes themselves, fairings etc are fibreglass and it's not too unusual to get a bike with the odd dent and scratch but they've always ridden nicely.

Their crash bill has been much reduced by moving to Silverstone - many corners have concrete run-off rather than straight into the kitty litter, gives you a chance to sort things out if you don't make a corner....

Should note that although they don't charge for crashes, it does end your day.... so don't crash in the first and second sessions on a premier....

Doing Elite on a 600 on Wednesday (24th) - please be dry!!!

Hey I was at the race school on the 17th as well. I don't know if it was you but when I was waiting for my elite course to start there was a crash at Stowe. This was at about 4 o'clock. Anyway glad to hear your ok.

I was almost a victim of Stowe (by far the slippiest corner on the track in the wet) as well, you could feel the rear fighting for grip and then right on the exit you had to stand it up as it would just spin, but there again my instructor was pushing it. My fastest time was a 1:30.6 on the 600 which was 4 seconds slower than what Ron set in the wet so not that bad.

In regards to crashing ending your day, I'm not quite sure as I saw someone on the deck in the 1st session but they were still allowed to carry on so I don't know.

Oh and Ian have a great day.
