Every case has its exceptions, like in the case of the toilet seat - the Irish defined it, the English refined it by cutting a hole in it

well done on your tb's finishing in a mighty fine 5th place with Micko Sweeney,Dr.Tom

I must say a big thankyou to all at JHS Racing for their hard work in helping me achieve the dream of winning the first ever supertwin race on the Isle of Man TT course with a lap record too.shame it wasn't dry from the 26th milestone(Joey's) to the approach to the 33rd(due to varying amounts of rain from damp to ****ed wet!)proper iffy conditions on supercorsa's!!

Hello. By way of introduction, I'm a fat 49 year old man. I am a new user from Texas in the US. I race what you would call a "pointy" SV650 in what you call mini twins. Pardon me being long-winded here, but I have a question concerning the Supertwins at the Manx grand Prix. I'm considering trying to race the newcomers at the ManxGP in 2012 or 2013. All of the licensing requirements I've found refer to having a UEM, ACU, or SACU license prior to attempting the mountain course license. Does anyone here know if there is some sort of reciprocal license from the US that would meet this requirement? Or would I be required to race in Europe or the UK first? I might be able to swing the fortnight on the island, but I still have to work for a living and couldn't be there for months at a time. Thanks.

Steve

For clarification and information, riders with a licence issued by a federation outside of Europe should contact Caroline Etherington, Race Secretary by email mgp@manx.net or phone +44(0)1624-644649
Good Luck It is a very demanding race and I only Marshall there.

Thank Dave. I tried the Isle of Mann site, but it asked a lot of questions about my server that I didn't know the answer to. I am an old fart and don't understand computers as well as some of the younger people do. I had a cancerous tumor removed about two years ago along with about 7 inches of lower intestine, and racing the Isle of Mann has always been a dream of mine (since I was 14 or 15 years old). For the last year, I have been in the Gym losing weight and getting back into shape. I am not suffering under the delusion that I could win, but I'd like to try and compete just to finish.
