only a suggestion , but didn t, st Annes castle , near Chelmsford be pretty biker friendly , and i know the swan(?) in Rayne nr Braintree is ,... unfortunately they are all a bit of a trek from the bottom of the Essex lounge
 Failing that , what about the pub at Battlesbridge ?
