I hope their nuts go green and fall off.

I hate thieving b'stards.

More than likely - didn't mean to worry you about the frame.

You can do whatever you want to them. Just don't get caught.

I've had another look at the bike, looks like the steering lock stud has ground around the headset a little. From what I could see it doesn't look too bad but I've not had the yoke off yet.

Tried to turn the ignition this morning but cannot turn it to disengage the steering lock so think the stud must be bent. I have a feeling this is going to make life difficult removing the yoke and ignition barrel....any ideas on this or is it going to be down to brute strength to get it apart...?

I'm picking up a new yoke and ignition barrel tomorrow so will keep you posted on the replacement.

FWIW and I dont mean to be wise after the event, but this is the reason I dont use the bikes steering lock. They wont stop anyone determined and do more damage getting broken than they are worth.

Hope that the damage isn't too bad.

Ok, spent a while fixing the bike over the weekend. Took me about 5 hours in all....a bit longer than expected!

In the end I had a mobile mechanic come by to help who I was very impressed by. Are you allowed to recommend websites on here for businesses...? It was a chap called Mark from mobilemotorcyclemechanicbristol.co.uk . It's his own company, he rang me back within about 20 mins of me leaving him a message and turned up about 10 minutes later. He then spent the next 2 hours in the rain and cold helping me get my pride and joy going again. Could certainly recommend him if you're stuck at the roadside like I was with your steering lock stuck on! Haha.

Ah Dunker! Just read your thread a bit too late! I've got a spare top yoke you could have had! Whereabouts 'roughly' are you in Bristol?
