Evening, all.

I figured I'd sign up, seeing as I had the same query. I've not long bought a minitwin for next season (changing from F600) and I too want to modify the rear end of my bike.

Out of interest, how easy is it to relocate all the fuse box/ECU/solenoids etc to the front of the bike? I've been working on my bike this evening and can't believe how much is under the seat unit. Will be needing a race subframe and fireblade seat unit, that's for sure!

I was tempted to relocate the battery to the front cylinder, but having read these comments, is it really worth it? I was more concerned about any water ingress, it is in a rather vulnerable position when at the front of the bike..

Rgds,
Keith.

As the throttle and clutch cables go in the left hand side of the headstock, the wires can be brought out of the right side to sit in the nose cone, under the fairing frame mount. If you remove the ECU etc the connectors just fit through.

Place the starter relay in the tray with the battery down by the front cylinder on the right. If you use a lightweight race batter, it matters not where you put it weight wise and it'll be more protected there, inside the fairing than under the seat unit where it'll get all of the spray from the rear tyre (IMHO).

make sure your tip over switch is secure and the right way up when you move it (It has an arrow on it for "up")
