cheers
I have a race ready minitwin I'm selling, just havent got round to posting the details yet. K3 race winner at Oulton Park, PM if interested.

hi m8, iv made my own spacer kit for the front, its a parralel spacer for the spedo side, i will be making conical ones in the near future if enuff interest, the other side is a little idea utilising the same disign as the original but far easyer to live with , rob

Errm surely just measure the speedo drive! and for the other side make the spacer and fork insert all one piece so you just undo the pinchbolt and knock it to one side.
put nuts with washers on the inside of the chain adjusters and drill and lockwire end plates to swingarm, springs in the rear pad pins, captive rear spacers = hassle free wheel changes, nothing worse than everything falling on the floor when your rushing!

I just thought it would save time if someone had already made them and had the measurements-surely thats what the org is about-so lets see-anyone who wants to make something has to repeat what everyone who's ever made that same thing-again!!

Talk about pulling teeth!!

Andy-i'll see if I can contact Zoran-cheers

didn't realise scrolling back 1 page was such a hardship!!
As it says-the bike is a carby!
Got swingarm and all suspension linkages out-back end of bike is hanging from garage joists-so dont fancy pulling front wheel out!
I actually bought spacers last year but they've gone walkies during garage tidy!
I've got full access to machine shop at work-so just need dimensions-only really bothered about speedo side so I can remove it when back wheel is back on ground!

Cheers for the advice guys.
would really love to build my own bike i bet the satisfaction is immense, will probably regret this decision when my bank is empty but i think i can do it and will learn a lot in the process. What you did TC is exactly what i want to do, just struggling to find the spares/repair bike to start from. I work for an engineering company so fabricating brackets and subframes shouldn't be a problem. RV will be interested in your rearsets send me some pictures and info when you have it.

Dave I'm living on ecclesall road but would be building the bike in my parents garage near Chapeltown how about you? Do you race or just do trackdays? if so what club are you in? which club do you think is the best in the Yorkshire area?

Dont worry, if you are racing bikes there will never be a shortage of tinkering to do on them, whether self built or race ready. One thing is for sure though, it WILL cost more to do it yourself. All those little parts seriously add up over time.

In hindsight, as much as I loved doing the work on mine, I would have preferred to spend the additional cash on track time for practice.

yep il send you some photos of rearsets, they are good solid basic controls that you wont cry over when you bin the bike, and crucialy i can make them at a good price, im not a profecional engineer, but i d love turning and milling ect, we have a home built tool room and workshop for our own racing prep, tar m8
