I sew to a very high standard... yes, sew. Hand or machine, fabric or leather, makes no odds. I patterned and made the lower half of my little sister's wedding dress back in 1989/90, she did the upper half. I've trimmed all manner of cars from brand new BMWs to classic Jaguar XK120s from scratch. My family still laugh when they see me sitting at a sewing machine because it's the last thing on earth they thought I'd do.

Define hidden. I too can cook, but that's one of the reasons Wifey married me - she'd have starved to death by now otherwise! So I'm not sure that counts. I used to be a half decent radio DJ, that might count.

Catagory 1 amatuer golfer, i.e. h'cap between 0 & 5. Only play 2 or 3 times a month, and never practice, yet manage to maintain it at that level. Been playing for 45 years.

And no I don't wear the multi coloured, paint factory accident, clothes.

Awesome Bri. My best mates dad has just been appointed vice president of the PGA. Next year he will be president. Let's just say my dad is looking forward to some perks!

Did you know only 2800 140 DHCs were made, and fewer than 700 of those were in Right Hand Drive with most of those being exported to South Africa and Australia? The XK140 DHC (especially in original RHD form) is one of the rarest production Jaguars ever made.

Btw, another hidden talent... I'm a classic Jaguar anorak

That is why I am rather annoyed auto correct changed xk to xj

Yeah, they are 180,000 for those needing restoration. Saw a mint condition black one for sale 6 months ago for over 400k. I couldn't spend that on a car even if i had millions but oh my life it almost made me cry with its beauty. So many love the e type...I am one of them, but it is not a patch on the early jags for jaw dropping beauty!

I'll let you into a secret... the build quality of those post-war Jaguars is shockingly bad. The people who built those cars committed crimes against automotive engineering that should have been punishable by death. But, the workforce at Browns Lane back then was largely unskilled and clueless after so many highly skilled factory workers lost their lives in WW2 and a large recruitment drive had taken place to meet demand in export markets. Many of the new workers were recent Pakistani and Indian immigrants who'd been farmers and low paid labourers in their own countries - they hadn't a clue how to build cars properly and the largely racist English workforce didn't want to show them how either.
