simply put chris youve got a firm 1000 pound offer so your in the trade off senario
1/ part ex have bike and redused payments instantly ,no hastle with advertising, tyre kickers etc
2/ hold out "hopefully" get a few more hundred quid (is genrally true you get more cash private than trade) but have to advertise, deal with tyre kickers etc
if youve got the cash/can wait to sell go private, if you sit down and go mmmmmm part ex it and use the 33 extra quid on fuel

im sure you know all the above just be sure whats within your budget
and remember haggle like a barsteward for any extras even down to a full tank of gas

ps the white is tasty as feck ,but thats just my opinion (abite im always right just ask the wife lol)

If the trade-in offer is that close to the "potential" cash sale then I'd take it.

Yes,unless you can negotiate some discount for a cash purchase on the new bike,as in no trade in.If so that should be factored into the figures.

if your gona go private and sell bike for cash might as well buy second hand as well and save alot of money. But if you want a NEW bike from their show room might as well trade it in. But as you said you want a BRAND NEW one as you want to stick with the bike for a long time.

Thanks for the replies and the advice given. I found out today there is no stock until May. They had a black one in stock which is now sold. Quite surprised as its getting to start of 'season' and its a large multi-dealership. (Preston Superbikes). The GSX650F is only £600 more. I know a few members have gone that route. It`s not an SV though!
