Ah yes flymo, it's all coming back to me now. I replaced the coils on the bike when I got it as it was dropping a cylinder occasionally. Those spades were dirty back then too, cleaned them up with a little bit of sand paper but it wouldn't surprise me if they have got all crappy again.

Think I will clean it up and then put some paste on it to protect it.

Just to round this thread off, I cleaned the contacts last week and so far no light

I have done nothing but have also not had any more FI lights coming on! or

That's the fun of intermittent faults. They strike when you least expect them.

I've had the fi light on my k5 naked pointy but no marker on the dash with ignition on. When I start the bike it fires up no problem and the light goes out. Does that suggest a wonky contact somewhere rather than an actual problem.

This is possibly a thread hijack. Sorry about that.
