Rear subframe on my 2000 curvy S looks a bit like that although not quite as bad. Looking at your shiny repainted subframe is making me want to do the same thing to mine.....

Hmm, while mine is off the road, I should really be doing this sort of thing too, but you know what? I just cannot be Rrrrsed!
Nice job that you have done there though. |

It all went back together as it should too. Although it was quite funny this morning - eldest was waiting to get on while the engine was warming up and suddenly said, "Is it supposed to be smoking like that?" I briefly panicked and then realised it was the WD40 I'd used to loosen some of the cr@p behind the sprocket cover being gently cooked off!!
Mrs DJF is getting me a new screen for my birthday in a few weeks, so it looks like that will be the next thing to do. Pics will follow. |

Update. Tinted MRA double bubble finally arrived this morning (only two weeks late, story almost as long as the delivery) so that's Saturday morning sorted for something to do!

We have a couple of really good chippys at work who are also into bikes. I showed them my hilarious previous effort and asked if, when they had a spare half an hour, they could rig me up something better. That is the Mk2. The Mk1 didn't have a base, so when you put the front wheel in it gently worked it's way up the wheel and gave no lateral support at all. I nearly dropped the bike the first time I used it!
